Her Secret

I found out her secret
Yesterday

I heard her talking
And suddenly it all clicked
fell into place

Can't say it surprised me
I saw the signs
But I hadn't ever thought of her like that

"Is it true?"
Rumours circulating
I don't know what to think

She tells me
"Yes, it's true"
So I am kind of taken aback

But I try not to show it
"Oh," I say
Not another word escapes my lips

I don't hate her for it
I don't blame her
It just took me by surprise

That's all
I won't tell
I won't let anybody know

And now I'm off
To meet her and her new
Girlfriend
