The things they say

by Trisha Brooks   Nov 25, 2004

They all stare
no more of this she could bare
whispers insulting and bruising
what part of this is so amusing
the things they say
they make her world so Grey
the words that kill
with her heart so still
the tears fall down her cheek
she wishes they wouldn't speak
why do they say the things they do
don't they know but she has feelings to
why can't they just stop
as she feels her stomach drop
she is so sick of it
she wants them to quit
the words pierce her heart so deep
at night she can't even sleep
she has so much pain inside
and nobody is there when she cries
she just wants them to understand
that she has no one there to hold her hand
she tries to keep her head down
she doesn't want them to see her frown
she walks alone
if they had only known
that they make her hurt
they make her feel like nothing but dirt
she lives her life day by day
remembering the things they say
