The first day she cried

by tara whitehead   Nov 25, 2004

On the first day she cried;
I knew, it wasn’t to be the same,
All I wanted was to run and hide;
But all I got was the blame.

Everything was so different;
She was everything to me
So energetic
So bubbly
So proud.

But she stopped,
Collapsed in a heap,
She cannot move,
She cannot speak

I never dared to say aloud,
I was to scared,
So I was myself to my self.

Why?
I cannot be me,
I cannot be happy,
I cannot be strong.
For she’s not,

Anymore.

She was my mentor,
My helper,
My friend.

She was there for me,
Through the bad,
Through the good
I may have not have shown it but…
I love you

Aright?

But now she cannot be,
She cannot even help herself,
Can she just forget about me?
Like that,
I feel alone,
And Tired,
I didn’t know what to do
After that first day she cried.
