Architect

She had thunderstorm eyes
and an hourglass smile.
she built her pretty castles
out of summer morning mist
and unvoiced daydreams,
in the purple twilight sky, above her.
what a beautiful creation to hide you from the rain:
but above you
the sun is further than you thought.

within the storm
every castle is but a dream.

she had pedestal visions
and candleglow wishes.
she crafted every palace
from the palest gasp of sunlight,
and the calling of a lover
by the lightning of a moment, kept within.
what dreamtrails carved in awe could lead us to the shadows?
for within you
you keep us in a darkened place.

in the cold quiet
the imagery is but a dream.

she had acid fed fears
and needlepoint tears.
she let her pretty castles
crumble in the unforgiving
and rust in worn despair, in white silence.
there was once a beautiful architect with an hourglass smile,
but this silence
reminds her of the dying sun above.

in the end, my love,
all we ever had was but a dream.

Another "beautiful and descriptive" poem that you've weaved here!! Your words are used very nicely to string together a sorrowful, yet beautiful poem.

*Thanks for commenting on my poem - I really appreciate it! Yeah, unfortunately, I'm still stuck at 13 years old. It sucks. ;)

Your words inspire an image tornado.
The course of a girl trapped in daydream and by choice. Aware of all the epic possibility of love even before a love is known.
    Excelent.
    Hopeful for what's to come.

Wow. Love this one too!! I think its cool to write a poem about a "she". Who is this girl in your poem? Is she anything like the girl in my poem "How many words is this picture worth?" If so than we are more similar than we think..lol..you get what I mean right? This is a beautiful deep poem. Honestly, never stop writing. Mashalla..you have talent sent from God.
