Despair

I never thought I'd feel like this,
this feeling I've had for weeks,
I thought at first it would go away,
but now its happiness I seek.

It all began 3 weeks ago,
I thought I was going insane,
I tried to fill my days with joy,
but the joy was drowned by pain.

I had a feeling nothing was right,
and that feeling was very strong,
I thought at first it would go away,
but now I know it can't be wrong.

I don't know how to get rid of it,
and I don't think this is fair,
I hate this feeling that I have,
the feeling of despair.
