My nEpHeW, WhOm I aDoRe

Your only 5 yrs old
Your life is slowly starting to unfold.

You smile more than you cry.
Your still a kid,
Wait till your teens or twenty five.

There is so much in this world
That yet you just don’t know.
When you see it and realize it,
Follow your heart
and be true to your soul.

I'll need you to always try.
Try to stay strong
Keep your head high,
Don't let negativity carry you along.

There are two different paths you'll get to chose.
One leads you to death
The other is where you lose.

There is no real path that leads to the best.
You got to lead your own way,
So be different and not like the rest.

I say this from experience,
Because I’ve been through both heaven and hell.
I'm serious~
10 to 15 times I've thought of killing myself.

Now don't look at me wrong,
And don't think that I'm weak,
I've just suffered so much,
been close to hells peak.

But don't worry,
I'll be here
to save you from the wrong.
I'll be here to comfort you
and if necessary
I'll sing you a song.

I don’t only want to be your auntie,
I want to be your friend.
I want to be your angel.
Someone you can confide in.

Though, I’ll have to let you make your mistakes.
Just know it's all part of growing,
So you could learn what to leave and what to take.
To stop your mind from floating.

Learn to love challenges,
Live up your life.
And never give up
Learn how to strife.

You know I love you,
but I won't be able to always be there.
But no matter what
just remember
I have and will always care.

Look at me,
you're still learning how to write.
and I'm here typing this,
I'll finish this poem some other night.
