Debut

by Mild insomnia   Nov 26, 2004

The noise inside my head,
It rattles round,
The words that you have said,
It wraps around,
The things I would forget,
It brings them down,
The thoughts I had misread,
It finds them now.

And good afternoon,
It’s not like I’ve ever met you,
I’m in a town that I never knew,
But I do,
I’ll say adieu,
That’s my debut.

The nights I spent at home,
I can’t recall,
The times I tried to phone,
I never called,
The hours I walked alone,
I would never fall,
The love and care I’ve shown,
I built a wall.

The times that I have cried,
But kept it all inside,
The feelings that I hide,
But I have never lied,
The days I wanna die,
But never once did I…

And good afternoon,
It’s not like I’ve ever met you,
I’m in a town that I never knew,
But I do,
I’ll say adieu,
That’s my debut.
