Growing older

by Shaina Ahenger   Nov 27, 2004

As a child’s years go by, death seems so far away,
Don’t take life for granted is best thing that I
can say.
As you look at all the people in the world and how
they have changed and grown,
And when you look back on the memories, your
spirits high and it feels like your heart has
flown.
You know when changing and when you are growing
up,
Just to think that in your childhood, you were
just a mere pup.
When you’re a kid, and can’t wait until you get
out of school,
You will hope you live in a mansion that has a
massive pool.
And when your older you want to go back and change
all of the mistakes you’ve made, _Maybe you regret your job because of the low
income your payed.
Make sure every decision you make is the best one,
because you know they will count,
As life goes by, mistakes will be sure to amount.
Drugs and alcohol are not the way to go,
No matter how depressed or your happiness level is
very low.
Don’t blame your parents, childhood, whatever
happened is your own fault,
Use the wisdom your taught and lock it away in
your mind like a vault.
It’s hard to grow up not knowing what is to come,
Do something with your life, get a great job,
don’t be a bum.
Never let life get you down, always look to the
positive side,
If not you will never have the strength to get
back up, you’ll be washed away with the tide.
Never be afraid to choose your own path and where
it will lead,
There will be help along the journey that you
should ask for and will need.
And after your over the hill be proud of what
things you’ve accomplished and done,
Or the fight between you and the world will never
become one!
