Parties

A bunch of young kids bring some beers,
They are all underage so they say, “Let’s do some
cheers.”
They think it is going to be all okay,
But soon there will be consequences that they will
have to pay.
They think it’s all a joke, just a little fun,
Then not knowing the biggest mistake in their
lives has just begun.
It hurts to see people ruin their lives with just
one little sip,
Their lives are going down from then on just as a
sinking ship.

Smoking is not the same way, a few puffs and your
hooked,
It’s the same simple craves such as a great meal
that’s cooked.
Smoking brings hurt and harm, some people die,
Teenagers sneak around and smoke, to their parents
they have to lie.
You see so many people dying from overdose on
drugs each and everyday,
As doctors try to revive them, lifeless there as
they lay.

Parents build on trust and that is what you have
to keep,
As soon as you take that risk, your taking a
sneaky leap.
You’ll fall, you won’t make it, your parents will
be sure to find out.
For the next few weeks you will be grounded and
for sympathy you will pout,
Now look at where you are, stuck in your room
surrounded by walls,
Your friends will be at some party so don’t expect
any calls.
You think they were your friends, you better guess
again,
And hope that you can get your life together, pray
and say amen.

Don’t be pressured by your peers, you have your
own opinion and choice,
Soon people will follow, but something great
starts with one little voice!
