Surrender

by goot   Nov 27, 2004

Sitting in my secret place
Shadows fall across my face
Pupils wide, absorb my surroundings
Try to ignore my hearts rapid poundings

My mind slips away once more
Hidden behind my souls black door
My skin, so soft, like butter it parts
And pain needles me, like poison full darts

I let my eyes drop closed
My body loosens, un-posed
My hand hits the ground
Then i hear the sound

Silence
