Decay

by Sinister Soire   Nov 28, 2004

She softly descended the stair to the floor below
The entire sea of heads turning as she walked by
She was the most beautiful creature imaginable
On the outside
She screamed out with all her might
Afraid of what she might do to her self
Struggling to break free from a cage of society
On the inside
Her hair glistened in the brilliant candle light
A simple symbol of elegance and beauty
She was desirable and desired by many
On the outside
Her life was a catastrophic train wreck
A sigh of sheer and udder destruction
She was dissolving into oblivion
On the inside
The façade began to crumble quickly
Revealing the poor young girls there
Her face not longer betraying her mind
On the outside
The turmoil was overpowering her soul
Taking control of her every waking moment
She was the minion of her own demise
On the inside
She couldn’t ask for help, didn’t know she needed it
But all the hands were waiting to lift her up above
To give the helping grasp to free her at last
Together again
