Hear your call

by Mild insomnia   Nov 28, 2004

Hear your call

I grab my trainers from the rack,
Slam the door, not looking back,
Heading out into the night.

Past the borders of my town,
The steady beat of feet on ground,
Your heart’s given me, the strength to fly.

And I’ve never run so fast in my life,
I just hope I make it in time.

Hear your call a mile away, baby,
I can’t ignore, when you call.

The night air whips on my face,
As I cross place after place,
Instinctively, knowing where you are.

If it rains, I shoulda brought a coat,
My heart’s warm, it melts the cold,
Besides, it’s not too far.

I’d go to the corners of the earth,
For you, cos it’s what you deserve.

Hear your call a mile away, baby,
I can’t ignore, when you call.
