To learn as time goes on
So we can live our life much better
Then when we first begun

Life is like an onion
Peels away one layer at a time
Gradually leaving nothing
But broken layers of our lives

Life is like an ocean
Full of dangers and of joys
A mass of endless journeys
And little numbered buoys

Life is like a present
A gift from god to us
To open at our leisure
And live with happiness

Life is like a melody
Composed each new day
The notes reflecting emotions
We feel in new exciting ways
