The freedom she only dreamed of became a reality on this earth
She became a new creature in Jesus she experienced a rebirth
For the first time in her life she let herself feel the love that was always there
When she believed heaven was in her reach, hope of the future replaced despair
I believe even if she did slide from the Lord’s path
She could have escaped the Almighty’s wrath
As the song said Jesus would never take His love away
Remember what He said to the criminal that day
I once let her steal money from me that I would not miss
I did not realize the danger when I stole from her a kiss
That she would steal from me a little piece of my heart
That is why I say from that day, we’ve never been apart
Remember how afraid I was when I asked you for a date
The fear of rejection caused me to wait to late
You were committed to the man that would become your mate
The man that would change your life and your fate
It took everything I had to ask you for a date that day
Carolina said it took everything she had when she decided to pray
I laughed at myself because I was more frightened of you
Than I was of the Almighty Lord I had been praying to
But Jesus never rejected anyone. He would eat with a sinner
Anyway anyone who rejects Him is a loser not a winner
I will end this poem, Reaper of my heart, with no further stalling
I pray it was Him that held your hand to keep you from falling
I love you, and I love Jesus, the way, the life, and the truth that will set us free
May you always know and love the truth, and may the truth live in you and me
