Worth The Wait

Waiting for something for 4 years is a long time for me
Waiting for someone that I have never seen
Waiting for the chance to really know
If this is the life, the way that I want to go

Having the feeling being more then it is
Having the special moment of my very first kiss
Waiting for the permission of my parents to go
To the chance of a life time, a new tomorrow

I have been talking to him for about a year now
We have been wanting to meet and see each other somehow
He has been my boyfriend and he makes me smile
Hes nice and funny and he goes the extra mile

To make me feel special, to make me feel good
And if i had the chance I would see him if I could
We have alot in common and hes the same age as me
He makes me laugh and he makes me happy

If only life could really be that easy and make my day
If only there was a better way
But I guess until then ill dream of our first date
and in the long run hes worth the wait.
