Nightmare With No End

Dedicated to the dark, lonesome faces we meet at night..

I wake and open my eyes
Lying in a trap, hypnotized
Curing the disease you've brought upon me
Healing the wounds, you were my injury

But I still want you more, you're my addiction
You're my world away from this, my fiction

Now I pull my feet
Out from under the sheet
To escape my night time prison
My dream filled abode, my burning heaven

Then I rest my toes on the ice cold floor
And with my shadow, creep to the door
Screeching noise, sliding open
Must I go to find my poison?

I look for you in every corner
I see your face in every crying, lonely lover
I chase you in every direction
Running with no destination

You make my heart beat faster, faster, then stop!
I lose you for a moment and my body drops
You're the ghost that keeps me from my death
A haunting thought that gives me breath

A demon, creeping into every feeling I can sense
I walk aimlessly, in darkness, searching for your face

And inside my cold, bleeding heart I know I'll never breathe your love again
But still, you're my nightmare with no end
