A Nation Divided

If only we weren't divided between one other
By race, religion, and certainly color.
We've all seen it happen, we all know its true,
Giving someone a look because of another skin hue.

What is this world coming to? When is it going to end?
Even if we do join together, there's hearts in need of mend.
We blame what is happening on each other.
Instead of doing that, why don't we help one another?

What would have happened if Martin Luther King never spoke out?
What would happen to this country if with him we were without?
Would you just sit back and let it happen? Let time pass by?
Or would you speak out,and hold your head up high.

Racism happens every day, you can't run away from it.
So are you going to let innocent people get treated like sh**?
Or are you going to stand up for whats right next time you see
Teasing of another race, getting their souls fall to debris.

There is only one right solution to the problem here,
So let America make it clear,
Even if you're standing alone, stand up for whatever is right,
Do it for those broken souls you will again ignite.
