My Only Love

by chikidiwa   Nov 30, 2004

Simplicity, the greatest beauty's
So often overlooked
It's in the complexity
That we so often become
Confused, ensnared and hooked

My sweet mistress
when will you come to call
So many to subdue
do you know i'm here at all

I wish that I could go with you
Just forsake this worthless life
I know our hearts beat in tune
When I pick up that bloodied knife

my love, oh so tried and true
The perfect keeper of my heart
I know that if I came to you
I could have a brand new start

yet you offer such an easy way
The weakest way by far
i have a few things left to do
before reopening that scar

so at night I lay here waiting
For you take me by your side
I know there is not a place
from you that i might hide

the mirror shows taught skin
Pail beyond belief
I realize you are full of life
Just stained with so much grief

Mistress death
i'm calling
