The Ring

by K1n9d0m   Nov 30, 2004

Plays with the ring on his finger, slipping it on and off
Praying no other man should ever pay this cost
He thinks about the good times and shutters a laugh
And wishes they could stay forever in the past
The cold wind blows, and leafs rustle by
As he holds his breath, praying that he wont cry
The ring, now lay firmly in his palm
Taking deep breaths, he tries to remain calm
Pride, love, and trust no longer exist
As he thinks back and recalls their very last kiss
A tear finally escapes, and trickles down in a rush
He looks up to the sky and whispers "i love you so much"
Sliding the ring back on his finger, he doesnt make a sound
As he sees his wifes casket being lowered into the ground
Use this as a lesson, she should have survived
Loved ones dont let loved ones drink and drive
