Can you hear the future?

by don mohr   Nov 30, 2004

It often is dismissed as a strange
or unnatural occurence, but nature
may be moving and waters change
with currents;
The animals that sing in trees, the
buzzing of the busy bees-the bark
that rots off age old trees, they
make a sound to me;
This voice is soundless and some-
how, if we just open up our hearts
it enters ever quietly, and whispers
please be good to me;
The thorns they scrape and leave a
wound, the scar will heal and so
you too-will gather up every sound
and make this world go 'round;
The dismal places that we put away
the dismissed and the disliked
soon return on eve of night;
Can you hear the shh some how?
It is nature saying-"now"
