What she see's

by Alicen   Nov 30, 2004

When you look in the mirror
Do you hate what you see
That stranger starring back
You think “is that really me?”

Beautiful eyes sunken and cold
Hide the thoughts of loneliness and being dead
None of the secrets has she ever told
Not one of those secrets left her head

A smile she wears again and again
Not showing the hurt, not showing the fears
She speaks nothing of her pain
She keeps it all in, swallowing the tears

Small hands soft to the touch
Grips the blade
When things become too much
Lucky for her the scars fade

A beautiful body every girl wants
Every bruise has its own little lie
T-shirts and skirts she’d prefer not to flaunt
When her daddy beats her, she can only cry

Legs so small, and yet so thin
Covered in scars and recently made cuts
All this pain, is there any way to win?
She has no fat on her because of all the diets

When she looks in the mirror
She cries in hate
She hates what she see’s and what she’s become
She wonders how people find her so great
