Armenian Pride

I've heard so many comments
And seen numerous stares
Just because I'm Armenian
I just need someone who cares.

Sure, not everyone treats me that way
Actually not many people do, but
I always here that rude comment,
never guessing it would have been from you.

"Your Armenian right?"
They always say
"So, you have a reason to be ugly?"
They make these comments in such disarray!

They don't know I hear them,
And I act like I don't anyway.
Even if I did stand up to you,
I wouldn't know what to say.

Would I give you a shove,
And tell you to go away?
I certainly won't let you rule my life
And make all my future days gray.

But I'll still hold my head up high
Even thought I'm torn up inside
I always have the option of fighting back, because
I will always have my Armenian pride.
