Visiting The Past

by BreatheNoMore   Dec 1, 2004

I think this is the last
That my heart can take
Visiting the past
Where darkness is light and smiles are fake

God tell me are you listening
To these nervous cries of anxiety and fear
I cannot, no I will not
Be revisiting what’s become hell to me here
No more
No more

This place is like a throbbing disease
I can feel the ugliness and dilapidation
Burning all through me

The stench of shallow blood
And the visions of unsought sin
Draws this hatred from my soul
Leaves these pins and needles in my skin

I heard you scream my name
What did you think I’d want to look?
Upon your pathetic face
All that reflects are the lives you’ve took

God please forsake me no more
Release me of this desolate fear
I cannot, no I will not
Be revisiting what’s become hell to me here
