A SHAMEFUL BET

It started as a bet
that in 28 days
we knew we could win
and change the boys ways

That they would like us more
than just good friends
but we were just playing around
we didn't care how it would end

i mean, they were no one special
and had no clue of the bet
we were just having some fun
there was nothing we couldn't
get.

A few weeks down the track
he expresses how he feels
that he wants more than friendship
i guess i had won the deal

but it was time to let it out
and i laughed with no regret
\"did you actually think i liked you\"
i mean, you were just a bet

forget everything i said
it was all a stupid lie..
then i looked into his eyes
and saw him begin to cry

He spoke...

\"i have never been more hurt, by this deal that you have made.. i really, really liked you that every night i prayed, we would be together forever, and nothing would split us apart, because girl you were my world, and now inside you have torn me apart\"

Now as time has slowly past
cant comprehend what i had done
after the pain i put you through
i thought that i had won

instead I always cry
when i think of what Ive lost
things will never be the same
and now i must pay the cost

This bet has ruined my life
for A person who\'ll never come back
he committed suicide yesterday
on the western railway track..

I never got to tell him my feelings
because i was too selfish to say
my feelings were as strong as his
When he told me that he loved me, the day he passed away.
