I not only cry for you,
But what I missed out on,
What we could have had together,
Is now all gone.

You were right infront of me,
An arm length away,
I felt secure with you,
Yet terribly afraid.

Comfort is what I found in you,
But heartache is what kept me back.
It was confidence within myself,
That I did infact lack.

I felt a connection,
And I know that you did too.
So why is it you and her,
When it should be me and you?

I'm secretive and humble,
When it comes to relationships and such.
But this I now realize,
Was much more than a crush.

I wish I would have told you,
The way I felt that day.
If only I could have found
All the right words to say.

I held back for all the wrong reasons,
And I let you slip away,
And the pain I feel from losing you,
Is what I have to deal with everyday.

So I not only cry for you,
But what I missed out on,
What we could have had together,
