Embers

Deep in my heart laid embers
That warmly flares up all day.
And simply put it out, I cannot.
For that’s taking my life away.

Deep in my heart laid embers
And they dance within a beat.
Stop it from waltzing, I cannot
For I’ll surely be incomplete.

Deep in my heart laid embers
That reminds me of you each morn.
Dispel them from memory, I cannot
For to love you forever, I’m sworn.

    I enjoyed reading this piece. In the simplicity were passionate emotions... the repitition was nice, and for a work of 5 minutes, well done.
