Time marches on...

Time evades my grasp,
Slipping through fingers,
Falling through dreams,
Twisting in reality,
Torn apart at the seams.
Stable,
Consistent,
The clock marches on,
Tick,
Tock away,
Dusk until Dawn.

Wind blows, laced with rain,
Beats on my window,
Knocking in vain.

I watch the trees shift,
See water fall,
Time marches on,
Overseeing it all
