Battle of yourself

by Sarah Hotard   Dec 1, 2004

Rebel
all the secrets you will never tell
feel the burning flames
firing from hell
like your soul
it is twisted and cold
all the screaming
all you do is scold
you pick away at your skin
hopiing
one day you might win...

the battle of yourself
you have found
is unwillingly burning
churching at your heart
your falling apart
Young child look upon me
for i can save you soul
or so they claim
I am reaching for your hand and you do not grasp
You in a crowded room screaming
but no one has even asked

Do you care
are you, were you ever really there?
Did you see me
crying on the footsteps of your door
asking for my faith back
but silence was my return
I am losing me the more I learn

I am in a crowded room
reaching out
and no one is grabbing back
I start screaming
they start leaving
all the people have bailed
All I have is me
and even this i failed
