Betrayal and Murder

I glare at her and turn away,
I can't take this anymore,
I grab my coat, shrug it on,
and head straight for the door.

She asks me where I'm going,
I don't think she really cares,
she looks at me, not knowing,
why I don't belong there.

I told her it doesn't matter,
she won't see me again,
I'll be on my own now,
for myself I will fend.

I stared her straight in the eye,
and ask her not to look,
in the darkness I will be found,
all my hope she took.

She was always there,
I thought she was the best,
the one on whose shoulder,
my head would always rest.

One true friend forever,
the one I thought I could trust,
now it seems our friendship is,
darkening with red rust.

It was to me she lied,
and I thought she was true,
I said just forget it,
but what I meant was forget you.

You lied and I listened,
you begged and I agreed,
then you took the knife,
without any heed.

"You realize we killed that man?"
I got up in her face,
"You realize we could go to jail,
and look like a disgrace?!"

She didn't respond,
only looked at the floor,
"I guess now we killed that man,
you don't need me anymore!"

"It was his time to go,
and our time to bloom."
she said this very quietly,
so nothing I could assume.

"Well, the game is over,
and I'm calling the police!"
after what we'd done,
I felt like a horrible beast.

When the cops got there,
this is what they found,
2 dead bodies,
lying on the ground.

She tried to take my life,
but not before I could take hers,
So that night it ended,
and I guess justice serves.
