Drink To Calm Your fears

by BreatheNoMore   Dec 1, 2004

She wept for hours last night
As the days before
Feels like a worthless fight
She’s trapped in a winless war
And through the letters and the screams
How could you not fuc king see?

How do you see your child’s blood?
How do you see your child’s tears?
Is the damage that you cause
Really worth the drink to calm your fears
Your selfish and your wrong
This sick behavior does prolong
Look at your child now
Do you even recognize them anymore?

You sneak, you slither
Like the cold blooded snake
You think that no one sees
You think your so convincing

She needs a mother, not a who re
Not a faded promise that you’ll stop
She needs your compassion and your love
That love you’ve lost with every drop
