My tears are flowing down my face
While I'm in your last embrace
You told me the news just today
Not giving me the chance to say
"I will love you and always will be your darling daughter till my dying day"
You told ,me your going to war,
As you left I,
your daughter saw
The man she called her father
Walk away from his happy life,
And who left me and his wife,
My dad was a strong man,
I was probably his biggest fan
I knew I wasn't going to see him again,
So then...
I ran up to him calling daddy! daddy!
As he turned around with tears in his eyes,
I realized this was no lie,
In a few years time he will die,
I realized my biggest fear,
was just to hear,
That my father was no longer here...
with us,
As he walked into that car,
I realized by far...
He was a true hero,
He gave his life,
For his daughter and wife..
He is a soldier true and strong,
I know for sure that he is gone.....
