Contemplating

My heart hurts
When I think of you
I tried to make it work
Are you aware of what you do

I gave him my love
And he said he loved me a lot
I was foolish to believe him
Because I never gave it thought

It tears my heart
To think of him anymore
It feels like I’ve lived in a decade of pain
And my heart is too sore

You deserve everything
That you have been shown
You are and idiot
And such a drone

I never loved you
I was just blinded
You shielded me with you hand
But I saw behind it

I no longer think of you
Why should I
You tell me you loved me
But you never tried

All of the tears
That I have ever cried
For you are now gone
Because you lied

They mean nothing to me
As well as you

So I sit here now
Contemplating on our past
There is wondering
On why our relationship didn’t last
