Moving on

by Molly Elizabeth   Dec 2, 2004

He just couldn't understand
shes moving on now,
after so long...
he never thought she could,
and even more never thought she would.

She cried to him,
I can't let you go...
she said she'd always love him,
and let her love for him be known,
and he thought those lies were true.
When she said, I'll be waiting for you!

But she waited so long
she waited so alone.
He'd moved on just fine,
never even thought to pick up the phone.

Now that shes gone
he knows he's lost his chance,
now that shes left
he longs to hold her,
he longs for one last dance.

Seeing her with him
just rips out his heart...
seeing him hold her
tears him apart,
it brings tears to his eyes...
he can't understand...
he always imagined...
being her only man.

He'll never admit all his pain,
and thats what really drives her insane. He's just too much of a "man"
for that. He'll never say I miss you,
no, even though thats all she longs for... he'll never say that!
