Their Finest Hour

by Afshin   Dec 3, 2004

They were there without thrill
Holding only their guns
for they were shipped there to kill
under the dying of the sun

They blended with the night
and made almost no sound
as they marched in with fright
and scouted around.

They adopted to prone
when they approached a field
and as the last rays shone,
they confirmed they would not yield

Suddenly, they froze
and scattered quickly to the sides
as large squad of foes
scouted in with pride.

They all grew scared
knowing they\'ll be devoured
but they stood right there
during their finest hour

They all took deep breaths
and looked through their scopes
as they knew they were near-death
they still had hope.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
said the snipers in their hands!
as chaos was unleashed
on the enemy band.

They turned around
and BANG! their tanks replied,
and the soldiers with no sound
fell down and died.
