She Didn't See It Coming

If You Really Do Love Someone, Tell Them, Don't Be Like Me And Keep It A Secret.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last year, I came to your school,
Wearing but a beer t-shirt - i looked like a fool,
I tried to be cool and fit in your click,
I was shunned my the crowd, i felt sick,
I never took much interest, I was simply browsing the sea,
I never would have guessed, I'd fall in love with thee,
Laughing, Excited and Joyous, Is all I am around you,
Sad, I am that I cant be with you, But I'm glad I finally found you,
My shooting star, My pot'o'gold,
My dream is of you, to cherish, and to hold,
But I'm not cool enough,
So I'm told,
You make me feel funny, In a odd type of way,
You can turn my gloomy mornings, Into a sunny, clear day,
You pick me up, when I sometimes stumble,
Embarrassing comments, I begin to mumble
"Cute, I like you, walking my way?"
Odd questions I ask, On days like today,
"Hold Hands? Close Your Eyes?"
"Wipe my tear? Dry My Cries?"
I write songs about you, poetry too!
Maybe one day, my very own dream will finally come true,
Maybe we'll become friends? Possibly Date too?
I'm scared to let you know, "I think I love you"
You've touched my soul, My soul you've freed,
I'll cherish the moments, I share with ye...
I hope one day, I will confess my affection,
Hopefully 'til then, you'll be my protection,
Protection from the dark gloomy mornings, depression, Obsession,
Though if I let you know, I liked you indeed,
You'd joke around, speaking of greed,
"You can't have it all" is what I expect to hear,
But what I've taken from the pile, is nothing but mere,
You wouldn't expect someone like me,
To accidentally fall in love with ye
Perhaps the songs, the dreams, the poems were figments of my imagination?
Maybe thats all they are?
Either way, you'll always be my pot'o'gold, my - falling star.
