Trying to freedom

by goot   Dec 3, 2004

These words on these pages
Pathetic attempts to free
Bottled hurts and sorrow
But they cannot escape

Forever they are kept
Locked inside your soul
Burnt into your memory
Never washed away

The hurt becomes intense
The sorrow too great for tears
All of the rejection
Kills the little light inside

Slowly the heart rots
Falling to a black deep inside
Nothing can save us from hell
No one is free from it

But the attacks from society
Haunt the dreams of the small
The power of social divisions
Kill the hope once strong

Can you not see what
Social power does to you
It is not money or fame
But power to hurt
Abused by you

Divided for an eternity
Trample the walls
Save the youth
Protect our future
