What happened to true friends?

What ever happened to the meaning true friends
i thought it meant you were friends till the end

through hard times or good times there suppose to be there
no matter what happens there suppose to care

like brothers or sisters is how close you are
weather your two houses down or six states apart

but obviously not,i guess I'm wrong
because us being"best friends" didn't last very long

you found your boyfriend to be more important then me
but only till he said you weren't meant to be

now hes gone and you want him back
but only true friends stay true,thats one thing guys lack
