Standing At The Edge Again

by Jessica   Dec 3, 2004

Standing at the edge again
You're always there to push me,
You give me just enough reason
To jump and set me free.

If I jump, I could escape
The tight grasp you have over me,
Live this life without you
Let my soul rest, let me be.

This life isn't worth the effort
It isn't as great as it's said to be,
It's lacking in parts of happiness
If you could only see.

When things being to feel rough
Away, you seem to flee,
I await the day you come back
And are ready to stand up for me.

I'm trying to get away
And be happy, finally,
But you're always holding me back
To my heart, you have the key.

Here I am, standing at the edge again
Moving on, without you I will be,
I'm jumping and doing it alone
Escaping the sorrow, setting myself free.
