Crimes so Deep

by Krete   Dec 4, 2004

Steal my heart,
thrown away,
lost to see no other day.

Wrapped up in foil,
perfect piece of my life,
now dumped in oil.

Ruined and quite imperfect,
my heart is now dirt perfect.

Styles of glistening past,
how this all started,
it is a wonder I always ask.

Light is a dim part of life,
never bright enough to say...

...all it does it echo,
all it does is beckon me to tare,
ruining my stare.

Peace doesn't last forever,
childhood is always severed.

Whether by root,
or by mile,
it is something,
I will hate, for all the while.

Crimes so deep,
all around,
boarders crash,
nothing but frowns.

Sadness swells,
mama cries,
human tears,
nothing but goodbyes.

Crimes so Deep,
so deep and not quite rare,
that even I,
have gained that stare.

Crimes so deep...
I wish to rest,
in eternal sleep...

...for crimes so deep,
so not very rare,
that even I,
have lost my way...

...and gained that stare.

Drooping eyelids,
blackened colors,
lost smiles,
put up in cupboards.

Oh the while,
it will take,
to re-dilate,
and forget these Crimes I hate.

Crimes so Deep,
so terribly consistent,
vile and reaped.

Crimes,
I need to sleep.

Was a little repititious, but that is o.k. You know what. You must have one of the most vivid imaginations out there... I sat and analyzed each stanza, and it came together. Excellent poem
