You were the one to save me
to rescue me from my fall
you were the one to hold me
to protect me from it all
you were the one to feel it
when everyone brushed it away
you were the one to listen
and weren't afraid to stay
you were the one to love me
to show me who i was
you were the one to know me
to find me when i was lost
you were the one to trust me
to prove i was something
you were the one to convince me
to make me believe i wasn't nothing
you were the one to guide me
away from the pain
you were the one to stay with me
again and again
you were the only one who understood
the in and out of me
you were the only one understood
the truth and what i could be
you stood by me
through anything and everything
and I'll stand by you
through the same and the pain

    I am surprised that this poem is not receiving much more attention as it well deserves. It reflects some very heartfelt and beautiful thoughts that you have so meaningfully expressed. It is really beautiful.

    I would encourage you to do a bit of work on the capitalization and punctuation here. Then this would come close to perfection, at least in my humble opinion.
