Whats the point of smiling?
whats the point of being happy
and full of life?
Happiness is just an illusion
a meaningless word in my life.
yet it surrounds me.
its a delusion I'd kill to be in
the world keeps spinning
and I'm stopped dead in my tracks
everyone over looking me
I'm a worthless grain of sand
an outcast in my own family
having to hide the truth
from my best friend
because i don't want to
screw up her joy
no one has time to listen
no one has time to care
people only see whats in front of them
what they want to see
i must continue to hide
under this make-up and unfamiliar expression
as long as i appear to be happy
every things OK right?
i give everyone what they want
and everyones happy
everyone but me
i am stuck in my never ending black hole
and no one will ever help me out
during the day my appearance is so blissful
well appearances deceive
so will someone please tell me
whats the point of being wrapped up in this nonexistent emotion
someone tell me
whats the point in smiling
when theres nothing to smile about?

    Good job with this poem! You want to know what the point in smiling is? Smiling will keep you feeling better inside!! It actually makes you feel that maybe there will be hope. If you keep forcing yourself to smile, maybe sometime soon, you'll smile for real. And even if you're walking around with a fake smile, smiling at people, it will help people. Cuz when you smile at people it makes them feel like someone actually cares...and you could be saving someone else!!
