Hearing the pitter patter of rain drops
The sound of thunder echoing throughout the land.
Seeing the lightning flash among the clouds.

What it must have been like that night
Driving against the forces of nature
Questioning whether or not you would make it home
Praying to a God who had always been there
Asking and hoping he would guide you safely
When I pray to the God who took your life
I think of you..
The road was curvy and you couldn't see
The rain was hard and angry
