Reborn and seeking chance.

by Cheery   Dec 6, 2004

A long road to recovery,
I thought I was almost there,
Until someone mentioned your name,
That just wasn't fair.

I was doing good,
I haven't cried for weeks,
But the sudden thought of you,
My heart restarts its aches and leaks.

The visions of us return,
This time they hurt more than ever,
Its time for me to learn,
and banish these thoughts forever.

Love easily catches your grip,
And its not easy to let it slip,
For if you do, another scar is exposed,
and all your screams are apposed.

Naturally, the consequences can be far worse than this,
The people who seek attention, decide to slit their wrists,
The ones who thrive for a new start, are the ones who become the pained.

But I am starting freshly,
From scratch, I am reborn,
A brand new chance,
I won't let her be scorn.
