1947

It was a year of a new disaster-and
an incredible find;
The covers strewn aside, and the
sheets of cold wind making ice;
Underneath it all, was nothing to
find-it was already here;
Fact and fiction stories bloomed
into comic books and magazine
articles-all about this new find;
Some drew pictures of space ships,
and some wrote about the
consequences;
In all, we called this time, the
Atomic age-a period of discovery;
So, is there alien life here? Was
there? Did we miss out, and just
forget that maybe it was a time
before it's time was ready?
Too many conspiracies now, too
many lies and coverups-maybe we
don't have the Energy to continue
because we used it all up.
I don't believe in aliens, anymore;
I do believe that we should look
forward, and try to use what is
left to start over, before our time
is up.
