Three Words Aren't Enough

by livefreebright   Dec 6, 2004

I love you I love you
You wisper in my ear
Your arms encirling me
I should have no fear

But in your words
I hear no truth
You may say you love me
But I'm sorry I need proof

Three words aren't enough
Even though they're sweet to hear
Three words aren't enough
To wipe away every tear

Three words aren't enough
To make me forget the pain
Three words aren't enough
To stop the pouring rain

Anyone can say it
And not know what it means
To truely love someone
They can't read the lines between

Skip the fine print
And go right to the end
Don't know what they're getting into
To them love's just a trend

I'm sorry but to me
Three words aren't enough
I can say I love you
Even though it is a bluff

But when I say it to you
I can honestly say
My love for you is true
And it will never fade away
