One Satisfaction

by Astoria   Dec 6, 2004

Like a song without music
my life is meaningless.
Like A fallen angel I lay broken.
I'm finished. I'm through.
Love is such a great feeling:
like jumping from the clouds.
You feel higher than everyone else,
you feel beautiful.
It seems that all your dreams have come true.
Well thank you for teaching me love is a lie.
I was nothing more than you're mistake.
Falling for you was like jumping without a parachute...Love was such a great sensation until you hit the ground.
Your face hasn't been cleared from my mind.
A contorted figure, waving goodbye.
Bury me with my guilt...this is my fault.
I'll hide away tonight.
In the shadows, in a world of broken promises.
I avoid the setting of the sun...
its garish beauty makes the moon envious.
No, don't come around again.
I'd rather die than see you smile.
You're enjoying this.
Take pride in what I'm becoming
(a mirror image of you)

I dare not speak it,
your name leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I must save myself.
Oh, rusted dagger,
how did you find a home in my spine?

I'm nothing.
Like color to a blind man, i am meaningless.

I'll slit my wrists with the knife I pulled out of my spine.
You only wanted someone to murder.
Save me this one satisfaction.
You cannot win this race.
