In a way I hate you and yet I thank you
Now I can venture out into the world knowing what I truly pursue
Without this experience that changed my life
As deep as you cut into my heart with your knife
Yet I thank you for truly showing me how stupid you are
I’m glad I wasn’t in love with you long enough to give me a scar
For loving you was a waste of my time
And when I realized how stupid I was, you gave me the passion to rhyme
Poetry I write of my stupidity and heartache
As much as I hate to admit I did once love you and that was my biggest mistake
