Your Power of Love

by Jared   Dec 7, 2004

My composure seems to break
Every time I see your face
My powers seem to fail
And my charm goes up for sale

I confess that it's a trial
Every time I see you smile
My answer isn't strong
And my wits don't stay for long

I stagger through a maze
Every time I meet your gaze
My knees begin to knock
And my heart goes into shock

I call for 911
When our conversation's done
I feel my breath will vanish
Like the 16th Century Spanish

I wait until you're gone
Then I realize what was wrong
Your power had quite consumed me
Let's hope you don't exhume me
