When We First Talked

When we first talked
Our intentions were the same
To only be friends
But instead love came

Totally unsuspected
We grew ever closer
With every night of talk
Our emotions grew further

With each other in our heads
We constantly thought
Of the love that we have
And happiness we sought

We confessed our love
Even though we just met
But we were sure
Cause we had our hearts set

With every passing day
The words "I love you"
Felt so good to hear
Cause now I know what to do
