Watching and Waiting

by Robyn Thomas   Dec 7, 2004

I'm watching.
Watching for you.
I'm waiting.
Waiting for you, too.
I'm watching.
Even though it hurts.
I'm waiting.
There's blood on my shirt.
I'm watching.
I see you kiss the bride.
I'm waiting.
For this pain to subside.
I'm watching.
As you sweep her off her feet.
I'm waiting.
For you to notice how much I weep.
I'm watching.
For the perfect moment on the clock.
I'm waiting.
For the blood to stop.
No longer watching.
No longer waiting.
Are you happy with what you did?
